A c1889 Salsbury & Son 'Invincible' Safety Bicycle Lamp. Based on their 1887 patent, this highly original lamp is complete with its patented sliding reflector, reservoir holder, ruby side glasses, oval bevel-edged front glass (a small crack) and a complete sprung bracket and tightening yoke, A size 3 lamp, the largest manufactured, it shows signs of original nickel-plating and black enamel finish. ECL 50. 6½-inches (16cm) high.
