We hold free valuation mornings at our Crewkerne salerooms every Monday from 9am - 1pm where our team of specialists are available. No appointment necessary.
We hold free valuation mornings at our Westbury salerooms every Thursday from 10am - 2pm. No appointment necessary.
For larger items, as well as multi-category collections, we can arrange a home visit without charge or obligation.

We are able to process house clearances quickly and efficiently. Our specialists check through items and if it would be better sold in one of our catalogued sales it will be retained for inclusion in the relevant specialist sale. Estate Sales and Private Collections
The Estate Sales and Private Collections department is dealt with by our Senior Directors, who have a wealth of experience and knowledge that makes all the difference to a successful sale. They oversee the entire auction process from the initial visit and valuation process, through to careful research, cataloguing, marketing and sale. We will charge you a vendors commission on the sale of the Goods calculated as a percentage of the Hammer Price at 15% plus VAT in our Fine Art Sales and 15% plus VAT and a lot fee of £5 plus VAT in our Timed Online sales. We will also charge a damage and warranty fee of 1.5% of the Hammer Price plus VAT.
Proof of ID
As part of the EU directive known as DAC7, and similar upcoming UK legislation, all digital selling platforms are now required to report seller identity and transaction information to the tax authorities. When selling items with Lawrences, we may therefore ask you for your passport or other identification, or at the very least for your date and place of birth.
Relevant data will not be shared with any third parties, but will be stored securely for 5-10 years in full compliance with GDPR procedures.
