THE AVIATOR MASCOT BY JOHN HASSALL.
A rare hollow cast mascot by the well-known cartoonist, with the inspired sprung and moveable glazed earthenware head and brass helmet. These appear to have been the third in the series, being advertised from 1918 and still available, probably from stock, in the mid-1920s. The mascot has the standard double mounting studs, correct spinning propellor, and Hassall engraved signature at the rear. Not mounted. 11-cms high.
