HISPANO SUIZA 'LA CIGOGNE VOLANTE' MASCOT.
An early and correctly unsigned mascot dating c1919, designed by François Victor Bazin. Mounted on an external threaded H6B radiator cap, the nickel-plating on bronze finish now with a delightful patina. The original stork emblem was used by the French flying ace Georges Guynener on his Hispano Suiza engine WWI aircraft. Total height 16-cms.
