Lot 506
An L. Fouenard Juvenile Tricycle Vélocipède. Working from Avenue de Sagur 3 in Paris, this rare machine has an original 30-inch wooden-spoked driving wheel, the fellowes with infestation damage, it retains its slotted cranks and wood-block pedals. The rear wheels also look original, with signs of original enamel. The frame has rusted, but appears sound and strong, a brass engraved name plate being attached to the saddle support. The 24-inch handlebars are period and retain dark stained grips. Although in need of some wood stabilisation, the only element lacking appears to be a missing brake cord and guiding wheel although it is not obvious which wheel/wheels were braked. The pan saddle has lost its fabric covering.
