A c1910 Chater Lea Cross-Frame Bicycle.
A rare machine with a 24-inch frame, 26-inch rims and tyres, a Fagan two-speed rear hub operated by an interesting lever control mounted on the narrow, 17-inch handlebars, Bowden cable-operated rear CL brake and a later fitted auxiliary front brake. A modern Brooks saddle, plunger bell, 9-inch chain wheel and rat trap pedals are fitted.
