Lot 450
A Howard Brothers 'Dey Time Register' Clock.
Dating between 1907 and 1912, this 150 employee timing in clock has been mechanically restored to a good standard. Invented by Dr Alexander Dey, the clocks were manufactured in America and retailed by The Dey Time Registers Ltd., of London, this unit being numbered 222-07. With a white enamelled circular dial the winding arbours appear to work well, there being several winding keys, and on scrutiny the clock mechanism performed well. The oak casing has been refurbished and it stands on a purpose-built platform. Some of the original employees' discs and winding keys come with its sale. 68-inches tall, the outer wheel, 29-inches.
