Marguerite (GAMY) Montaut (1883-1936):
Promainade Matinale - La Demoiselle de Santos Dumont Type Dutheil et Chalmers. An unusual horizontal format lithograph from 1909 with a surprisingly dreamlike quality, mounted but unframed, image size within the mount 14 x 30¼-inches (36 x 77cm). Good condition, but possibly a little faded. Together with another horizontal format framed and glazed lithographic print by the same artist from 1910, untitled, but depicting a biplane over a broad landscape and what appears to be a distant view of Paris on the horizon. Image size within the frame 15½ x 32½-inches (39½ x 83cm). A few slight surface blemishes and with some fading. (2)
