Marguerite (GAMY) Montaut (1883-1936):
Raid Paris Boulogne 1912 - Andre Beaumont sur Hydroaeroplane 'Donnet Leveoue' helice Levasseur reservoir inexplosible Brionne. Original horizontal format lithograph, mounted but unframed, sheet size (partly obscured by the mount, particularly the lower margin, which conceals part of the title) 17¾ x 35½-inches (45 x 90cm). A good impression, but some surface damage and staining, notably in the top left-hand area of sky. Together with another unframed lithographic aeronautical print from 1909 by the artist in the same size and format: Les Dirigeables PARCEVAL et GROSS en manoeuvre a Cologne, with good colour but with a repaired vertical tear in the sky. Also, another mounted but unframed lithographic print of similar size and format by H. L. Roowy of War Preparations, 1914, depicting an early French airship above a port and harbour, with Dreadnoughts at dusk, good colour, but with some surface scratches. (3)
