A LIGHT CAVALRY OFFICERS SWORD. A 1796 Light Cavalry pattern variant sword, with pipeback blade of falchion form. Clean 31.1/2" curved blade with 10" spearpoint tip, making it an attractive fighting sword. Steel three bar hilt with swept forward ring quillion, completed by three grip decorations in steel over ray skin finish. Steel scabbard with two hanging rings, some dents evident. See Illustration
