General Sale

Following the announcement by the Prime Minister that a second lockdown will come into force from Thursday 5th November, we shall not be able to offer any in person visits to the saleroom from that date.

Lawrences will be operating a Click & Collect ‘Drive Thru’ system on Thursday 5^th & Friday 6^th November for items purchased in this sale.

Customers will not be able to enter the premises after Wednesday 4^th November.  This means that all customers must pay either online or on the telephone prior to their ‘Click & Collect’ collection. 

Upon arrival, you will be greeted by a member of staff who will take your details and then ask you to either join the queue or proceed to the ‘Click and Collect’ collection point. Porters will bring your items outside but will not be able to help you load – therefore please ensure that you bring help if needed. 

Collections will be carried out in order of arrival so there may be a wait – we would ask for your patience in this.

Please note also that we will not be accepting deliveries on these dates.

We cannot guarantee that collections will be available after these dates –we will keep our website up to date with developments.

Whilst the responsibility for the collection of purchases rests with the buyer, for a packing fee plus the cost of postage and insurance, when time permits, we are able to post small items such as jewellery, small items of silver, individual books, small ceramics, coins, medals etc. 

Viewing and sale day procedures will be in accordance with social distancing requirements. There will be no viewing available on the day of the sale and visitor numbers may need to be regulated.

For the safety of our staff, we will be asking all visitors to wear masks. We can provide a disposable mask if any visitor needs one and we are asking for a £1 payment, with all profits going to NHS charities. 

For the protection of our staff and customers during the COVID-19 outbreak, we will NOT be accepting over the counter cash payments. Payments can be made by Bank Transfer (BACS), Sage Pay via our website or by card payment. N.B. Card payments made over the telephone are subject to a limit of £1500. You can also deposit cash into our Lloyds Bank account in Crewkerne. Goods will only be released on receipt of cleared funds.
