HAM, THOMAS. Ham's Squatting Map of Victoria (Port Philip District, New South Wales), Melbourne, 1851, engraved folding map, hand-coloured in outline, some surface soiling, 470mm x 720mm. Framed and glazed. This early map of Victoria shows the settlement plan around Melbourne. Thomas Ham (1821-1870) was an engraver, lithographer and publisher born in Teignmouth, Devon, England. He moved to Australia with his family in 1842. The map is supplied with a photocopied key.
