Lot 395

The Scottish Cyclist Volume V, 1892.  Two thick small quarto volumes bound in half-leather with marbled boards holding the weekly issues of the journal from No. 200, January 6, 1892 to No. 251, December 28, 1892. The issues are bound with their covers and advertisements and also include a number of supplements (some folding). The front hinge of the first volume, holding the issues from January to June, is broken, with the front cover loose, and the first eight pages (blank leaves, title page and index to the volume, cover and advertisement pages from the first issue) are loose at the front of the volume. Careful handling is essential to prevent further damage. The leather binding and edges of the board covers are also rather rubbed. Apart from this, the contents appear to be clean and complete. Both are very well-illustrated. (2)
