A single quarto volume in rubbed and marked dark green cloth (tape repair to front cover) with Midland Athlete 1883 in gilt lettering on the spine, holding the weekly issues from Volume V, No. 1, January 3, 1883 to Volume V, No. 52, December 26, 1883. Generally sound, though close cropped and pages browned through age. Bound with the magazine covers and advertisements, many relating to cycling.
