Lot 39

The Motor Cycle - 1915 to 1930 A substantial collection of 47 uniformly-bound quarto volumes in royal blue cloth with gilt lettering to the spines, commencing with Volumes 14/15, January to December 1915, bound in one volume, and ending with Volumes 44/45, January to December 1930, bound in four volumes. The weekly issues are nearly all bound with their covers and advertisements, though the covers for a few early issues are missing and some issues are lacking from the World War One years (for example, there are no issues from Volume 18, January-June 1917). One leaf of advertising, the first two pages for March 6th 1919, is bound in as a photocopy. After this, the collection appears to be complete and, apart from some soiling/damage to a few pages, chiefly the covers, the contents are generally very clean and sound. (47)

“We have received a large cheque and can't quite believe how well things went. Your thoughtful analysis and estimations were bang on”
