A Midland Manufacturing Co. 'The Flying Eagle' Ordinary Bicycle. A good original machine with a 52-inch driving wheel and an 18-inch (new) trailing wheel, both with 1-inch crescent rims, hooped 26-inch handlebars with turned wooden grips, circular section backbone supporting a single leaf saddle spring and an intaglio style brass makers name badge, and a leather-covered pan saddle fitted. The front spoon brake is insitu but has been repaired in the past, original pedals fitted to slotted 6-inch cranks, hollow blade forks and Bown style bearings. The steel surface has a mellow colour and promotes this bicycle's originality.
