Lot 281

A Leaping Jaguar Mascot usually retailed by Desmo in the 1930s and often fitted to Jaguar SS100 motor-cars. However, the mascot did not find favour with William Lyons and by December 1937 F. Gordon Crosby had designed a new mascot for the marque, making these mascots largely redundant. Chromium-plated 7½-inches (20cm) long, mounted on a period Jaguar threaded radiator cap.
