This Motoring, by Stenson Cooke - Limited Presentation Edition printed on hand-made paper, No. 156 of 500 copies, 1st ed , 1931. An octavo hardback volume in a cream vellum binding (a little marked, the spine browned, and the covers slightly bowed), with gilt lining, gilt lettering to the spine, plus a small 'A.A.' emblem embossed on the spine, top edge gilt, the fore-edge and lower edge of the pages 'rough-cut'. A very nice copy internally, with the four-page 'Characters in Order of Their Appearance' (For Private Circulation Only) loosely inserted and an ink presentation inscription from the author on the rear of the portrait frontispiece reading: 'To "Uncle George" with all good wishes for 1932. From The Author. 31.12.31.' A photograph of preparations for a 'Salon de l'Automobile' at the Grand Palais, Paris, October, 1953, is also loosely inserted in the volume. Together with another slim hardback small octavo volume entitled 'A Song of Speed', by William Ernest Henley, published by David Nutt at the Sign of the Phoenix, Long Acre, 1903. Cloth dull and slightly rubbed. (4)
