Lot 202

The Brescia Bugatti by Bob King.  A limited edition (No 429) of only 700 printed in Australia, 2012, being the history beginning with the development of the successful 16-valve Type 13 model labelled 'Brescia' after its triumph in the 1921 Voiturette race in Brescia, Italy. The victory led to Bugatti's incredible racing success throughout that decade and the next. The 344pp volume provides an in-depth account of the origins, evolution, racing history and success of the model, including previously unpublished Bugatti factory specifications. A definitive work documenting and illustrating all surviving vehicles with the (2012) current details and photographs. A deluxe black cloth-bound book with silver decoration, printed on high-quality art paper and comes with a facsimile 1966 racing competitor's bookmark, this numbered 150. Offered with its slipcase and original delivery packing.

“Thank you for all your hard work on this, I know it wasn't the easiest cataloguing job, but the result has been fantastic. The sale will have made enough to fund two weeks of respite care at our hospices, providing a lifeline of support for our families.”
