A Pair of B.R.C. 'Alpha' Acetylene Gas Projectors. Dating between 1903 & 1909, a sided-pair of Boa-Rodrigues & Company factory-made lamps, together with their correct running board mounted acetylene gas generator. Made for retailers Dunhill, the lamps have 'Dunhill Motoralities' badges fitted to the heat ventilators. Other features include parabolic nickel-silver reflectors, centrally mounted condenser lenses, stout hinges and sprung clips to each front door, carrying bails, stabilising feet and 8-inch spaced fork mountings. With 12-inch bezels and standing 17-inches high, they are in magnificent polished-brass condition. The rectangular generator has a carrying handle, gas tap, carbide of calcium cylinder and bayonet locking. (3)
