With the artist's printed signature and the date 1903 in the bottom left-hand corner of the image, the scene showing an elderly woman labourer hauling on a rope as she endeavours to drag a large cow across the highway, halting the progress of veteran car. The driver appears to have been distracted by his lady companion, because the two are kissing, while the two passengers in the back of the vehicle are frantically waving their arms. Image size 41 x 56cm. Incomplete mount, framed and glazed. Some surface marks, but good colour.
