The Friend in Need
Pen and ink multiple image storyboard, signed, with the title in pencil and with printed slip beneath each image explaining the stage in the story, which depicts a helpful 'Good Samaritan' driver coming to the aid of a lady motorist whose Titan car has broken down. Finally, the car is completely in pieces and the would-be helper drives off, advising the lady to wait for an AA man to come along. The printed title banner indicates that the drawing was reproduced in the AA's book 'Golden Milestones' - 50 years of the AA, having originally appeared in Punch on 27th April 1926. Mounted, framed and glazed. Image size 38 x 31cm. Good condition.
