Provenance: Won by the vendor's grandmother in a picture raffle at Bryanston School, June 1958. A handwritten letter from the school confirms this and accompanies the lot. (2)
* In 1931, Elise Queen (always `E Q`) Myers married Christopher `Kit` Nicholson, the son of the artist William Nicholson and the brother of Ben. Their son, Timothy (b.1939), won an art scholarship to Bryanston.
