De sacris notis & sculpturis libri duo…, text in Latin and Greek, numerous woodcuts in text attributed to Jean Cousin, 2 additional woodcuts pasted to inner covers, old calf, spine gilt, some wear to spine and upper joint, loss to top outer corner of upper cover. . Inscribed " Henr: White, Lichfield, Octobris XVII MDCCCXIV" on verso of upper cover, with ms. notes in ink on blank leaf, small 8vo, Paris, Jacobus Keruer, 1551 Two old auction clippings tipped in, both describing the book as an "Excessively Rare and Valuable Work".
