AN EARLY 18TH CENTURY 'SEAWEED' MARQUETRY LONGCASE CLOCK BY LANGLEY BRADLEY.
The brass dial with silvered chapter ring signed 'Lang. Bradley London' with similar seconds dial and ring turned winding holes and date aperture, with cast 'boys and crown' spandrels. With an eight day two train six pillar movement striking on a bell. The hood with an elaborately raised top with turned finials, the trunk with long door with central glass panel, all over decorated with scrolling arabesque marquetry. 256cm tall, 51cm wide 28cm deep.
