The brass dial with silvered chapter ring signed Jno. Mitchell London, with a similar seconds dial, ring turned winding holes and square date aperture, with cast 'boys and crown' spandrels. With an eight day two train five pillar movement striking on a bell, The hood with an elaborate raised top with turned finials, the trunk with a long door with central glass panel, all over decorated with scrolling arabesque marquetry, 260cm tall, 52cm wide and 23cm deep.
