AN UNUSUAL REGENCY MAHOGANY SIDEBOARD/WRITING DESK, POSSIBLY A CAMPAIGN PIECE,
of twin pedestal form with a broad scrolling back with central leaf carved cresting, the pedestals with short drawers and cupboards with beaded mouldings and gothic arched panels, the left-hand cupboard fitted with a bottle drawer, the centre with a rising surface enclosing a writing surface and two folding shelves, all above a shallow drawer and matching cupboards, on short turned legs, the top rail detachable and the pedestal bolted to the central section 137cm high, 187cm wide.
