the white enamelled dial with Roman numerals, with a two train 'Japy' type movement with silk suspension and striking on a bell, the dial within a rocky outcrop flanked by a robed figure reading from an open scroll inscribed Estelle et Nemorin', on a graduated base with cast leaf and decorative borders, on scrolling feet, 51cm high, 39cm wide.
