A LARGE VICTORIAN POLISHED SLATE AND MARBLE MANTEL CLOCK,
with a two part enamelled dial with Roman numerals with a visible 'brocot' type escapement, with a two train 'Japy' type movement with a 'grid-iron' compensating pendulum, striking on a bell, the elaborate case with a broad circular pendulum window flanked by marble roundels, on a heavy plinth base, 48cm high 53cm wide.
