A LATE 19TH CENTURY MIDDLE EASTERN SILVERGILT ESTHER SCROLL HOLDER with a turned & faceted angular handle, a tubular octagonal body with engraving & a minaret-like top section set with a coral bead, the illuminated parchment scroll unrolling to reveal inked Hebrew text in sections, separated by polychrome floral panels within borders of repeating floral motifs (some old repairs/restoration to scroll), unmarked probably Persian; the scroll approximately 64" (163 cms) long; 2.75" (7 cms) deep; the case 7.25" (18.5 cms) long
