BERNARD LEACH - JAPANESE KIMONO a cotton Japanese kimono or yukata, with a green and white cotton lining. 138cms high *This kimono belonged to Bernard Leach and was stored in a trunk for many years belonging to Laurie Cookes, Bernard's second wife. This may have been acquired during his trips to Japan in 1952 or 1964, the photograph shows Bernard wearing another kimono at the Kizano Hotel where Leach was probably staying with Hamada Yanagi and Kawai.
