TAXIDERMY: AN AFRICAN LIONESS HEAD (panthera leo), mounted on an oak shield gilt inscribed BAHR-EL-ZERAF August 1914. Height of shield 58cm. Together with two photographs of the shot lioness being carried by natives. Provenance: shot by the 4th Lord Raglan in Sudan, August 1914.
