A GEORGE III BRACKET CLOCK, dated 1765, signed Chas Blanchard, the brass dial with 6 1/2" silvered chapter ring with black Roman hours & Arabic minutes and matt centre, date aperture and oval plaque inscribed 'Chas Blanchard, London', beneath a silvered 'Strike Silent' dial, the brass eight day repeating movement with verge escapement, chiming to a nest of four bells, striking to a single bell and inscribed 'Chas Blanchard / Bartletts Buildings / Holbourn London / Fecit August 1st / 1765 / Etatis Suce 78', housed in a mahogany case with caddy top, brass swing handle, pine cone finials, arched glazed front & rear doors and glazed side panels, height excluding handle 44cm
