Fifty nine, the majority signed with monogram, inscribed and many dated 1876-1880, watercolour and pencil some in brown/grey washes, various sizes

* Tinling was the son of a Edward Douglas Tinling, a clergyman and an Inspector of Schools. He went to Winchester College and Oxford (MA 1872) before going into the ministry. Latterly the priest in charge at St Clement's Church in Bournemouth (1871-1879), he died at Pau in the Pyrenees in December 1880
