(for a punch bowl), with twin-cast openwork handles with husks & scrolls and a cast border around the bowl, pierced with a pattern of flowerheads and drilled holes, initialled "IC" on the back of one handle, and inscribed on one side, "James Coats Esq.", by D.C. Rait, Glasgow 1833; 12.5" (31.8 cms) long; 7.25 oz
