A MAHOGANY HALL STAND, the tapering turned column with various hooks and shelves above brass umbrella racks and a circular base with metal inserts, height 187cm, base diameter approx. 48cm *Footnote: Formerly at Uppark, West Sussex, a property of the National Trust. Bought on the 24th December 1975 from John Morris, antique dealer of Petworth. He had acquired it from the heirs of Admiral, The Honourable Sir Herbert Meade-Fetherstonhaugh, who with his son Richard had given Uppark to the National Trust in 1954.
