A 19TH CENTURY CUT GLASS CHANDELIER, c.1870, the scrolling spiral crown above swags of lustres and drops on a baluster and ball stem, the twelve scrolling spiral branches (six long and six short) hung with further swags emanating from a central dish above a further dish and a faceted ball pendant, fitted for electricity. Height/drop approx. 140cm, width approx. 95cm *Provenance: this chandelier was purchased by the current vendors in 2006 from a reputable UK dealer with an advised insurance valuation of £20,000. By repute, it had previously hung in the Chrysler Building, New York City.
