**Hardy refers to a set of the medals in a silver box with the maker's mark of Samuel Pemberton of Birmingham. The Pemberton family were well known silversmiths and toy-makers and Samuel Pemberton III (1771-1836) could well have been the maker and distributor of these little boxed sets of medals.
