AN INTERESTING TURNED OAK TOASTMASTER'S GOBLET with the let-in pieces of cut silver strips*, spelling out the name "ELIZABETH", probably early 17th century in honour of and following the death of Queen Elizabeth I; 6.3" (16 cms) high *One of these strips, forming the letter "I" has a partial hallmark or maker's mark so must have been cut from a marked piece of wrought plate.
