AN EARLY 19TH CENTURY SMALL SALVER with an embossed floral scroll border, cast openwork feet and chased flowers around the edge, inscribed in the centre "ECCLES.B.MAR IN BALL. AUSTRAL.DUNELM A.D. MDCCCXXIX", the reverse with a faintly scratched inscription relating to its first use as a communion plate on Whitsunday 1829, unmarked, probably Portuguese c.1829; 9.8" (25 cms) diameter; 12.2 oz
