A GEORGE III NEO-CLASSICAL SILVERGILT CUP AND COVER urn-shaped with bead borders, a fluted pedestal foot, and twin looping handles with leaf adornments, the body with embossed bell-flower garlands, roundels and a calyx of alternating stiff leaves and flowers, engraved on one side with a coat of arms and on the other with a crest below the motto "FORTITER", with a rising fluted cover & urn finial by Charles Wright, London 1778; 15" (38.2 cms) high; 53.45 oz *Arms are those of Boswall of Blackadder quartering another, possibly for Thomas Boswall of Blackadder, whose only child and heiress, Euphenia, married Sir George Augustus Frederick Houston, 2nd Bt. of Calderhall (after marriage this was changed to Houston-Boswall of Blackadder Baronets)
