the gilt figure of the saint with a large plain nimbus and a sword (probably St. Paul), the back of the bowl pricked "1672" over "HP" over "ID", struck once in the bowl and thrice on the back of the stem with the same mark (either a fleur-de-lys or a mask within a serrated circular punch), unascribed, probably West Country c.1672; 7.5" (19 cms) long; 1.35 oz
