EARLY STEIFF TEDDY BEAR
circa 1910-1914, with black boot button eyes and cone shaped snout, with elongated limbs and a growler mechanism (not working). With a Steiff button to one ear. 18ins (46cms high)
*Known as 'Edward Bear', the Bear belonged to the vendors mother Violet Ellen Baker, born in Lewes in Sussex in 1906. The photograph online shows Violet holding the Bear and next to her baby brother, it is taken from a postcard in the family (not included in the sale)
