A 1950'S 'CHRISTIAN DIOR' HOUNDSTOOTH SKIRT & JACKET SUIT
An elegant and classic suit from the late 1950's. The box jacket has been carefully tailored from black and white houndstooth wool, with a plaited boat neck collar, large front buttons leading down to a shaped front hem finishing neatly at the waist. The jacket is lined throughout in black silk. Labelled 'Christian Dior - London Ltd Modele Original made in England numbered 33796'. 18" underarm to underarm. The simple straight lined skirt falls to just on the knee with a back metal zip and inner silk lining. 28" waist 24" long. (1)
