ANTIQUE VIOLIN & CASE an antique violin with a two piece satinwood back and Rosewood tuning pegs, with the remains of a label inside and with a copy of the original receipt when it was purchased in 1912. Also with two antique bows and in a fitted Rosewood case, with a label inside the case Walter Honniball. Violin 59cms long. *This Violin was purchased by Walter Honniball in 1912 from Dr Thomas E Hesketh, Violin maker and repairer, Manchester. He died tragically at Gallipoli in 1915 at the age of 25, being part of the Manchester Regiment. This lot also includes photocopied images of Walter with the Violin as a young man and also Walter in Military Uniform
