realistically modelled as a Royal naval sailor in full battle kit, standing to attention with his rifle and wearing his cap with the blue-enamelled ribbon signifying his ship "H.M.S. Duke of Wellington", the figure hinging in half at his belt line (backward) to reveal a drop-in glass liner, on a black hardstone base, by Horace Woodward & Co., London 1898 (retailed by H.M.
