JAPANESE SATSUMA TEA SET
Meiji period, a tea for two tea service comprising two small plates (19cms dia), two cups and saucers (saucers with chips), lidded sugar bowl and lidded jug. Each piece painted with a variety of figures and landscape scenes, the rims with blue and gilded decoration and Shimazu Satsuma motif. Character marks to base for Shuzan, and Shimazu Mon. (8)
