ROYAL WORCESTER TEA SERVICE - LOUIS FLEXMAN
each piece painted with bands of fruits and berries on a mossy ground, and with gilt borders and rims. Comprising two sandwich plates (24cms across), sugar bowl and milk jug, 11 side plates (18cms dia), 12 saucers (13cms dia), and 12 tea cups. Each piece signed L Flexman. Marked Royal Worcester, England, C59.
*Louis Flexman (1897-1934) specialised in painting fruit from 1911 onwards, he was wounded during WW1 whilst serving with the Royal Artillery and walked with a limp. He died tragically in a road accident.
