THREE ROMAN UMBONATE BROOCHES.
A Roman Umbonate Brooch, 2nd-3rd Century A.D. copper-alloy plate brooch with three of four points present having recessed circular projections, likely to have contained enamel. A raised moulded face in the centre. PAS Record ID: DOR-C226B5. 42mm wide. An incomplete Roman copper alloy equal ended brooch, 1st-3rd centuries A.D. PAS Record ID: DOR-C1B294. 47mm wide and an incomplete Roman disc brooch, 2nd-3rd century A.D. All missing the pins, some surface corrosion and small chips.
Provenance: The first and second found in Rampisham, West Dorset.
