A POST MEDIEVAL STRAP MOUNT.
A Post Medieval Strap Mount with Attached Leather, c.1600-1700. The copper-alloy mount decorated with the face of a crown cherub with wings and probably acanthus leaves below. The reverse with a fragment of period leather attached to integral mounting pins, another pin stub visible. The crown slightly bent upwards, the surface with brown patina.
